FOCUSING ON

THE PROCEDURE

• Anesthesia can be local or general and the surgery takes 1 to 11/2 hours.
• The incisions are hidden inside the lips, and therefore, totally imperceptible.
• These can be done very conservatively and in stages to give a soft but natural result.
• The surgery may need to be performed in multiple small and conservative stages to get the desired result.
• This can be combined with other plastic surgical procedures.

THE RECOVERY

• You can go home after one hour.
• You can shower and use make up on the day after surgery.
• Minimal or no pain.
• Swelling is moderate and peaks at two to three days then disappears rapidly over the next week.
• Small stitches that are removed in 7-10 days.
• Resume all activities within the first week.
• Off of work for one day if at all.
